Moroccan ports treated 60.8 million tonnes of goods in the 1st quarter of 2025, up 10.2% compared to the same period in 2024.
Domestic traffic has reached 30.5 million tonnes (+7.7%) and transhipment 30.3 million tonnes (+12.7%).
Transhipment represents 49.9%of global traffic, monitoring of imports (29.5%), exports (16.4%), cabotage (3.6%) and tinstation (0.6%). Imports increased to 17.9 million tonnes (+2.8%), exports to 10 million (+13.7%), cabotage to 2.2 million (+31.6%), while stress dropped (-7.1%).
Among strategic traffic, there is an increase in containers (+10.5%), imported hydrocarbons (+7.2%), phosphates (+2.3%) and international road transport (+7.1%). On the other hand, drop in coal (-1.8%), cereals (-22%) and new cars (-21%).
Passenger traffic increased by 3.9% (720,645 passengers), while cruises jumped 46.9% (55,668 cruise sites). Finally, the landing of fishing products fell 24.5% to 136,856 tonnes.
