New for the Kénitra-Marrakech TGV


This project crosses the province over a distance of 63.5 kilometers and local authorities had taken administrative steps to expropriate land in order to facilitate its implementation. It is now done. The expropriation procedure has been completed and was carried out in accordance with Law 07.81 for reasons of public utility, we assure.

The expropriated plots are located in several municipalities in the province, including Sidi El Aïdi, Settat, Mzamza Sud, El Houaza, Khemisset Chaouia, Sidi Mohammed Ben Rahal and Machraa Ben Abbou, indicates a press release from the prefecture. During a meeting chaired Friday by the governor of the province, he insisted on the need to compensate the owners of expropriated land and to accelerate amicable compensation procedures for the benefit of the people concerned.

On this occasion, an update on the progress of the project was presented. The fourth section, covering the municipalities of Sidi El Aïdi, Settat, Mzamza Sud and El Houaza, was entrusted to a Moroccan company at a cost of 2.362 billion dirhams. The duration of the work is 33 months. As for the fifth section, crossing the municipalities of Khemisset Chaouia, Sidi Mohammed Ben Rahal and Machraa Ben Abbou, it will be executed by a Chinese company for an amount of 1.529 billion dirhams and for the same duration.
