Foreign exchange market: The dirham

The dirham appreciated by 1.4% against the euro and 0.6% against the US dollar, during the period from January 2 to 8, 2025, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM). During this period, no auction operations were carried out on the foreign exchange market, specifies BAM in its weekly bulletin. As of January 3, 2025, official reserve assets stood at 373.2 billion DH, down 0.6% from one week to the next and up 4.9% year-on-year.
