The Moroccan community residing in the greater Madrid region celebrated, Saturday evening, the 81st anniversary of the presentation of the document demanding independence, in an atmosphere full of feelings of pride and pride with regard to this immortal national event .
This cultural evening, organized at the initiative of the Association “Fils Larache de la Diaspora” and in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid, saw the presentation of musical and artistic shows which embody wealth and diversity of Moroccan folklore.
The ceremony was attended by approximately 300 members of the Moroccan community and included the screening of documentary video clips highlighting the history of the national struggle for independence and honoring the symbols of the Resistance and National Liberation Movement .
In a speech he delivered on this occasion, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid, Kamal Arifi, highlighted the symbolic importance of the celebration of this national anniversary, considering it a milestone that reflects the strong cohesion between the people and the throne by defending national and spiritual values.
Arifi stressed that this anniversary represents an opportunity for younger generations to strengthen their bond with their homeland and recall the great sacrifices made by their ancestors to restore independence and complete the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
He also underlined the dynamism of development witnessed by the southern regions of the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as well as the remarkable progress in the question of the Moroccan Sahara.
The association “Fils de Larache dans la diaspora”, founded by young people from the Moroccan community residing in Spain, seeks to strengthen bridges of understanding and cultural exchange between the Moroccan and Spanish people.
