Friday in Hanover, a partnership agreement was signed between the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region and Lower Saxony, aiming to promote skilled labor migration and strengthen the commitment of the Moroccan diaspora in Germany . This partnership aims to develop sustainable solutions in terms of immigration and economic investment, while promoting entrepreneurship and job creation.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Omar Moro, president of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma region, and the local ministers of Economy, Olaf Lies, and Social Affairs, Andreas Philippi, during a forum in Hanover entitled “Imagining the migration of the future”.
Both parties underlined the importance of entrepreneurship and economic cooperation to respond to current challenges, while highlighting the role of Moroccans living abroad (MRE) in the development of the two regions. This partnership plans to identify qualified labor needs, facilitate the integration of workers into the German market and promote economic, cultural and tourist exchanges between the two territories.
During the ceremony, Omar Moro presented the economic assets of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma and invited German companies to establish themselves in the region. For his part, Olaf Lies insisted on the importance of placing people at the heart of this cooperation, in a win-win spirit.
The forum, marked by the presence of Moroccan and German officials, including Moulay Ismail Lamghari Moubarrad, secretary general of the MRE department, and Abdelkader Taleb, deputy head of mission of the Moroccan embassy in Berlin, explored ways to make the more sustainable migration. Representatives from ANAPEC, the German Federal Employment Agency, CGEM-Tanger and AMDIE also contributed to the discussions.
