Manufacturing industries: the production price index fell back in April

The production price index of the “Manufacturing industries excluding oil refining” fell 0.2% during the month of April 2025 compared to last March, according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP).

This decrease is awarded to the decrease in prices of 0.9% in “food industries”, 0.2% in “the chemical industry” and 0.1% in the “manufacture of other non -metallic mineral products”, and the price increase of 1% in the “clothing industry”, 0.2% in the “manufacturing of electrical equipment” and 0.1% in the “manufacturing of metal products”.

Finally, the price of prices for the production of “extractive industries”, the “production and distribution of electricity” and the “production and distribution of water” recorded stagnation during the month of April 2025.
