Social dialogue: Sekkouri starts the reform of the status of the labor inspectorate

A new round of social dialogue was held in Rabat on Tuesday in the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, the Small Enterprise, Employment and Skills, under the presidency of Minister Younes Sekkouri. This session is part of the sectoral social dialogue, in application of the circular of the head of government relating to the periodic holding of these consultations.

The Minister reaffirmed his desire to revise the status of the body of the labor inspectorate before the next session of the central dialogue. A mixed commission, bringing together representatives of the most representative administration and unions, was created to finalize a draft decree within four weeks, on the basis of the main lines debated.

The unions praised the participative approach adopted as well as the ministry’s commitment to improve the professional conditions of civil servants. This process reflects a common desire to institutionalize sectoral dialogue and to support current reforms in the field of employment.
