On the occasion of the 7ᵉ edition of the International Fair of Agriculture and Animal Resources of Abidjan (SARA), OCP Africa highlights its major achievements in Côte d’Ivoire. For more than ten years, the Moroccan group has supported the transformation of the Ivorian agricultural sector through innovative projects focused on sustainability, training, research and support for farmers. Its stand attracts many visitors wishing to discover the concrete results of this commitment.
Among the flagship projects: the future “Digital Farming School” in Yamoussoukro, managed with the UM6P and the INPHB, aims to train young Ivorians in Agritech free of charge, while the Farming Innovation Program supports the creation of agricultural startups. In parallel, a rigorous scientific strategy allows OCP Africa to adapt its solutions: mapping of 2.5 million hectares, development of 23 tailor-made fertilizer formulas, and demonstration on 600 plots, with a gain in agricultural productivity estimated at 36 %.
OCP Africa also multiplies industrial investments, in particular with the construction of a fertilizer mixture and housing in Abidjan, scheduled for the end of 2025. This 150,000 tonnes/year infrastructure will meet the needs of Côte d’Ivoire and the sub-region, by supporting a reasoned use of fertilizers and strengthening local agricultural autonomy.
Finally, the gradual installation of new generation agricultural service centers (CSAS) makes it possible to offer farmers complete support: inputs, microfinance, mechanization, training, insurance and access to the market. Three hubs and more than 50 satellite antennas will be deployed to consolidate this strategy, marking the sustainable anchoring of OCP Africa in the Ivorian agricultural ecosystem.
