Tangier Med Port Authority (TMPA) has recorded growing indicators for the 1st quarter. Turnover reached 1.12 billion DH against 1.02 billion DH a year earlier, an increase of 9.2% in annual shift. In total, the goods processed by the port platform settled at 37.6 million tonnes at the end of March 2025 (+13.4% compared to the same period last year).
Investments made at the end of March 2025 amounted to 136 million DH and relate to infrastructure, roads, various networks and IT. TMPA also displays financing debts of 9.1 billion dirhams, slightly down by 1.7% compared to the end of 2024.
In the 1st quarter, new maritime services were launched (PTX, operated by Hapag-Lloyd, BMS, operated by Arkas Line, XMX, operated by Hapag-Lloyd and Arkas). Added to this is the start of Gemini cooperation at the Tangier Med port, the launch of a new line dedicated to the transport of goods between the Tangier Med port and the port of Huelva as well as the acquisition of two new tugs operated by Boluda. The port has also hosted new installations in the Medhub logistics platform: Vectorys, specializing in transport and logistics in North Africa and Fast Logistics, which operates in logistics solutions for the automotive, textile and aeronautical sectors.
