On May 17 and 18, Prague vibrated to the rhythm of the days of Moroccan cultural heritage, highlighting the collection of traditional caftans of the famous fashion designer Samira Haddouchi. This event, orchestrated by the Embassy of Morocco in the Czech Republic and the Joussour association for the arts and creation, was held in the majestic framework of the historic palace of Troja.

During the opening ceremony, Haddouchi unveiled his creations, perfectly illustrating the fusion between ancestral Moroccan crafts and contemporary aesthetic trends. Among the assistance were former Czech presidents and prime ministers, as well as other renowned diplomatic personalities.

“Our ambition is to create a dialogue between Moroccan cultural heritage and current fashion trends, by proposing creations that resonate with all generations,” said Haddouchi. She expressed her wish to make Caftan a timeless piece, while instilling in modern energy.

The rich and varied program has also offered artistic performances, craft exhibitions and culinary tastings, attracting nearly 300 personalities from the political, diplomatic and cultural world. The festivities continued in the heart of the main Prague squares until May 18.

Originally from Tangier and a graduate of the school of the Parisian Couture Syndicale Chamber, Haddouchi presented his creations during the fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, London, Dubai and many other international scenes. His pieces were worn by icons such as Whitney Houston and Majda Roumi.
