The Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, Naïma Ben Yahia, announced the imminent launch of an integrated public policy project dedicated to the protection and promotion of the family. This project is part of a preventive approach to fight against the phenomenon of street children, first targeting the family, a place of origin of imbalances leading to infantile vulnerability.

Ben Yahya recalled that the legal framework framing social protection establishments has been reinforced by law n ° 65.15, which aims to improve the care of children by guaranteeing suitable services. This law is based on an approach based on the rights of the child, integrating development, social participation and independence aspects, while developing specialized management models.

The Minister detailed the services offered by these establishments, which range from reception and support to accommodation, family mediation, education and training. It also stressed the importance of strengthening the local protection system by supporting the territorial structures dedicated to vulnerable children, considered a major lever for their social promotion.
